BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Brown University will stream 13 games on Saturday-Monday, September 2-4, on ESPN+ during the 2023 Bruno Classic hosted at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.

The Bears will welcome fellow Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) member Iona University; Division III No. 10-ranked Augustana College of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF); Mount St. Mary’s University, Bucknell University and No. 15 Fordham University of the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC); Mercyhurst University of the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA); and the pair of No. 11 Pepperdine University and No. 6 University of the Pacific from the West Coast Conference (WCC) to Providence, R.I., to commence the 2023 men’s water polo season.

Competition begins on Saturday, September 2, at Brown meets Augustana at 9:00 a.m. prior to Mercyhurst-vs.-Mount St Mary’s (10:30 a.m.) and Fordham-vs.-Pepperdine (Noon) concluding the early competition. 

Action returns to the pool at 3:00 p.m. as Pacific takes on Mount St. Mary’s prior to Fordham-vs.-Augustana (4:30 p.m.), Brown-vs.-Pepperdine (6:00 p.m.) and Pacific-vs.-Mercyhurst (7:30 p.m.) concluding Day One’s competition slate.

Five games are on the docket for Sunday, September 3, as Iona-vs.-Pacific (9:00 a.m.), Brown-vs.-Bucknell (10:30 a.m.), Iona-vs.-Fordham (1:00 p.m.) and Bucknell-vs.-Pacific (2:30 p.m.) lead up to a 5:00 p.m. showdown between the host Bears and the defending MAWPC Champion Rams of Fordham.

On Monday, September 4, Brown will finish out its three-day tournament slate by battling Pacific at 11:30 a.m.
