BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Carissa Perez (So., Pico Rivera, Calif./La Serna) of Brown University contributed six goals, seven assists, two steals and two ejections drawn in helping the Bears to a 4-0 record at the Marist College Red Fox Invitational. For her performance, she is named the February 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
The wins extended Brown’s winning streak to nine games.
Following a three goal performance with three assists in a 12-4 victory over Iona College, Perez posted a goal with two assists and a steal in a 16-5 win against St. Francis College Brooklyn prior to adding a goal with a steal and two ejections drawn in helping Brown pick up a 14-3 defeat of Mercyhurst University.
Facing fellow CWPA institution George Washington University in a non-conference game, Perez wrapped her weekend with a goal and two assists in a 12-7 win.
