BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — James Thygesen (Sr., Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo School) totaled 14 points on 11 goals and three assists during a 4-0 weekend for No. 19-ranked Brown University at the 2019 Harvard University Invitational to collect honors as the October 21 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week.

A two-time Player of the Week selection after previously garnering accolades during the 2018 season (September 13), he helped the Bears paw past Wagner College (10-9 W), No. 19 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (10-6 W), La Salle University (12-9 W) and No. 17 George Washington University (16-10 W) as Brown rolled through the field at Blodgett Pool.

He punched in four goals with an assist in leading Brown past the Seahawks of Wagner on Friday, October 18, prior to dishing out an assist in caging the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer and finding four goals with a steal and an exclusion drawn in topping the Explorers of La Salle on Saturday, October 19.

On Sunday, October 20, he wrapped up the weekend by lining in a trio of tallies and handing out a helper to key the Bears past the 2017 and 2019 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Champion Colonials of George Washington.
