BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jaxson Tierney (Fr., Sierra Madre, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) of No. 19-ranked Brown University recorded 13 goals and eight assists for the Bears during a 4-0 home stand on Saturday-Sunday, October 14-15, at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center as part of the 2023 Harvard University Invitational. For his efforts, Tierney is recognized by the league office as the October 16 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Rookie of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient, he started the weekend by putting away a pair of shots in a 13-9 defeat of George Washington University prior to firing home five markers as part of a 20-13 dispatching of Salem University on Saturday, October 14.
On Sunday, October 15, he closed out the weekend by lobbing in a pair of goals during a 13-9 managing of Division III No. 3 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges prior to racking up a hat-trick with three strikes in a 21-14 rollover of Division III No. 6 Occidental College.
