BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Roxy Hazuka (Fr., La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla) of No. 20-ranked Brown University combined to stop 24 shots in victories over No. 18 Harvard University, 12-11 OT, and St. Francis College Brooklyn, 12-6, to notch notice as the April 24 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
A first-time honor recipient from the league office, she helped the Bears stun the Crimson in league competition to even Brown’s record at 5-5 in CWPA action. Further, she backstopped Bruno to a win versus the Terriers as Brown claimed its 25th victory of the season.
