BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalkeepers Somto Okafo (So., Southlake, Texas/Carroll Senior) and Sarah Decker (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) of No. 22-ranked Brown University combined for nine saves in a 12-8 home defeat of Iona University on Sunday, January 18, to share honors as the January 19 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
Okafo stopped eight shots in the first half and Decker turned aside one scoring try in the second half as the Bears topped the Gaels to open the 2026 season at home in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
