BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Bucknell University men’s and women’s water polo head coach/United States National Team assistant coach John McBride and Brown University men’s water polo assistant coach Jake Ehrhardt helped the United States in a 14-9 loss to Croatia at the 2025 World Aquatics World Championship hosted by the Republic of Singapore.

The United States – which fell behind 2-1 by the end of the first quarter prior to trailing 7-2 and 10-7 at the termination of the second and third quarters, respectively – will wrap-up the championship on Thursday, July 24, at 4:00 a.m. Eastern/1:00 a.m. Pacific against Italy in a battle for Seventh Place.  Italy fell to Montenegro by a 12-8 score in the other Fifth/Eighth Place game.

Ehrhardt converted on one-of-one man-up chances he attempted in the game to go along one rebound to rate among seven Americans who scored in the contest.
