BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Bucknell University and Mercyhurst University’s games at the season-opening 2026 Triton Invitational hosted by the University of California-San Diego in La Jolla, Calif., on Friday-Sunday, August 28-20, will be streamed live on Overnght.com.
The Bison and Lakers head to the West Coast seeking to knock off the host/No. 12-ranked Tritons, No. 1 the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA), No 7 Long Beach State University, No. 20 Saint Mary’s University, Division III No. 4 Occidental College and the University of La Verne.
Competition for the pair of Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) institutions begins on Friday, August 28, at Triton Pool as Bucknell faces UC-San Diego (9:30 a.m. Pacific/12:30 p.m. Eastern) and Long Beach State (2:50 p.m. Pacific/5:50 p.m. Eastern) to bookend a clash between Mercyhurst and UC-San Diego (1:30 p.m. Pacific/4:30 p.m Eastern).
Both teams will be in action for pairs of games on Saturday, August 29, as the Bison battle Occidental (Noon Pacific/3:00 p.m. Eastern) at Canyonview Pool and UCLA (4:00 p.m. Pacific/7:00 p.m. Eastern) at Triton Pool, the Lakers took to take down Long Beach State (8:30 a.m. Pacific/11:30 a.m. Eastern) and La Verne (2:40 pm. Pacific/5:40 p.m. Eastern) at Canyonview.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, August 30, as Bucknell (9:20 a.m. Pacific/12:20 p.m. Eastern) and Mercyhurst (Noon Pacific/3:00 p.m. Eastern) square-off with Saint Mary’s at Triton and Canyonview, respectively.
