ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Bucknell University men’s water polo team took two games against La Salle University and George Washington University at the United States Naval Academy’s Scott Natatorium to improve the Bison’s record to 3-1 in the truncated Winter 2021 season.
The Bison picked up two close victories by three total goals, defeating La Salle, 9-7 in game one before defeating GW by a one-goal margin, 8-7, in a rematch of last year’s Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championship game.
Bucknell has now won all three of its games by two goals or less this season, and has now won five straight games decided by two goals or less dating back to last season.
