BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ally Furano (So., Stamford, Conn./The Ursuline School) registered 16 goals for Bucknell University over a four-game stretch at San Diego State University’s Aztec Invitational to claim honors as the March 11 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
She opened the weekend with four goals and three steals in an 11-10 loss to Azusa Pacific University before tacking on six goals, two assists and two steals in a 12-8 defeat by the host/No. 25-ranked Aztecs. Furano concluded the weekend with five goals in a 17-3 victory over Fresno Pacific University to accompany a goal and a steal in an 11-4 loss to No. 17 University of California-San Diego.
She is now up to 72 goals and 36 assists this season.
