BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ally Furano (So., Stamford, Conn./The Ursuline School) racked up 13 goals and four assists during a 3-1 season-opening weekend for the Bison at the Brown University Bruno Classic to earn recognition as the February 4 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
She commenced the weekend with three goals, an assist, a steal and an ejection drawn in an 11-3 victory over Siena College prior to putting away a pair of markers in a 16-6 defeat of La Salle University.
Facing a pair of nationally-ranked foes, she tallied four goals, an assist, a steal and three ejections drawn in helping the Bison dispatch No. 20 Marist College by an 11-7 count. Against No. 16 Wagner College in a 10-8 loss, she notched four goals with pairs of assists and ejections drawn.
