BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ally Furano (Sr., Stamford, Conn./The Ursuline School) of No. 21-ranked Bucknell University posted 12 goals, three assists, five steals and seven ejections drawn during a 1-1 doubleheader on Saturday, March 13, at La Salle University to pick up honors as the March 15 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

A six-time Player of the Week selection and seven-time weekly honor recipient following prior nods in 2020 (February 3 – Player of the Week), 2019 (February 4, March 11, April 8 – Player of the Week) and 2018 (April 16 – Player and Rookie of the Week), Furano keyed the Bison in a pair of narrow contests against the homestanding Explorers in Philadelphia.

She opened the day by racking up seven goals, an assist, two steals and three ejections drawn in a 20-19 overtime loss to La Salle.  Later in the day, she returned to the water to help the Bison garner an 11-9 victory as Furano netted five goals, two assists, three steals and four ejections drawn.
