BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Freshman Andu Vlasceanu (Bucharest, Romania/Liceul Teoretic “Nicolae Lorga” Bucuresti) of No. 14-ranked Bucknell University tallied five goals with four ejections drawn and pairs of both assists and steals during league victories over La Salle University and Division III No. 5 Johns Hopkins University to garner recognition as the November 4 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week.
A two-time Rookie of the Week selection after previously taking the September 9 honor, he registered three goals, two assists and a pair of steals in a 21-3 defeat of La Salle on Saturday, November 2, at home in Kinney Natatorium. On Sunday, November 3, he tacked on a pair of goals and four ejections drawn as the Bison took down the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays by a 15-7 count.
