BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Emily Konishi (Sr., Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill) of No. 22-ranked Bucknell University reeled off 17 goals, 11 assists and 16 steals during a 4-0 weekend for the Bison in Erie, Pa., at the Mercyhurst University Invitational to collect a nod as the February 18 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I co-Player of the Week.

Competing at the Cathedral Prep Event Center, Konishi opened the weekend on Saturday, February 16, by posting four goals with a steal in a 21-12 defeat of the host Mercyhurst Lakers.  Following a six-goal, four assist and four steal performance with two ejections drawn in a 17-6 victory over McKendree University to conclude Day One of the invtiational, Konishi capped off the even with three goals, four assists and three steals versus the Virginia Military Institute (19-5 W) prior to notching four goals, three assists and four steals against Gannon University (17-6 W).

She shares status as Player of the Week with Amy Castellano (Jr., Yorba Linda, Calif./Yorba Linda) who posted nine points off four goals and a career high five assists during a 15-7 victory by No. 14-ranked Princeton University at Villanova University.
