BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Georgia Lewis (Fr., Redwood, Calif./The Castilleja School) of No. 22-ranked Bucknell University made 31 saves during a 4-0 weekend for the Bison at the Mercyhurst University Invitational to claim status as both the February 18 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week.

A three-time weekly honor recipient from the league office in 2019 after previously notching laurels as the February 4 Defensive Player of the Week, she finished 4-0 between the pipes for the Bison in 96 minutes of work.

Lewis posted six saves in 16 minutes of a 21-12 defeat of the host Mercyhurst Lakers prior to adding nine stops in a 17-6 complete game victory over McKendree University on Saturday, February 16.  She added seven saves in the first half to help turn aside the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) by a 19-5 score prior to notching nine stops to go the distance in upending Gannon University, 17-6.
