BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Grant Lautze (Sr., Lake Oswego, Ore./Lakeridge) of California Polytechnic State University “A” notched 10 goals during a 4-0 weekend for the Mustangs at home in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to earn the October 16 Men’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division Player of the Week award.
Cal Poly – which clinched a perfect 8-9 regular season and the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Pacific Coast Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 28-29, at San Luis Obispo High School in San Luis Obispo, Calif. – stopped the University of California-Santa Barbara “A” (12-11 W) and “B” (20-3 W) teams along with Long Beach State University (16-3 W) and California State University-Northridge (5-0 W Forfeit).
Lautze notched two goals versus Long Beach State to accompany five in turning back UC-Santa Barbara “B” and a trio in upending UC-Santa Barbara “A”.
