BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Emma Jeronimus (Jr., Hoffman Estates, Ill./Fremd) of Carthage College made 52 saves during a four-game span at the 2019 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship hosted by Connecticut College to earn the April 15 CWPA Division III Defensive Player of the Week award.

A 2019 CWPA Division III Championship All-Tournament First Team selection, she opened the weekend at Connecticut’s Jane Cadwell Lott ’36 Natatorium by posting 11 saves in a 9-3 victory over Utica College prior to stopping 15 shots in a 9-6 defeat of CWPA Division III-East Region Champion Grove City College to close out play on Friday, April 12.

She returned to the pool with 10 saves in a 7-2 loss to Division III No. 10-ranked Austin College in the tournament’s semifinals on Saturday, April 13, prior to collecting 16 stops in a 12-7 loss in the Third Place game on Sunday, April 14, against Monmouth College.
