BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — On the Friday before Labor Day each year, colleges around the country celebrate “College Colors Day” to commemorate the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by wearing your college team’s colors and apparel. Established to celebrate the start of college football season, it also falls in line with the start of water polo season.
This year, the date falls on Friday, August 31
Looking for ways to celebrate the day?:
- Wear your favorite college’s apparel (note: water polo suits in class or at work are not proper attire – caps are OK most of the time, but ask permission and make sure the numbers are large enough to be seen in either lecture halls or corporate meetings)
- Tweet @collegecolors
- Tag a photo on Instagram #CollegeColorsDay
