BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Former Salem University standout Chloe Woodbine was named a graduate assistant coach on the staff of Mercyhurst University men’s and women’s water polo head coach Petar Momocilovic.

A native of Brisbane, Australia, and a graduate of Salem with a graduate degree in Biology/Exercise Science/Physiology, Woodbine completed her tenure with 189 goals over four seasons (2019 – 36, 2020 – 30, 2021 – 50, 2022 – 73) to accompany back-to-back Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championships and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship appearances.

A two-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-America selection with First Team (2021) and Honorable Mention (2022) status the past two seasons, Woodbine transferred to Salem from Hartwick College following the decision of the institution to eliminate varsity women’s water polo after the completion of the 2018 season.  The 2021 Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Player of the Year, she earned a trio of All-WWPA awards with First Team recognition in 2020 and 2021 along with Second Team status in 2022.
