BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Wheaton College men’s and women’s water polo head coach Dr. GT Ladd discussed “Gambling Risks Among Student-Athletes” in the 18th “Coaches Corner” webinar presented by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).

Named head coach in November 2024, Ladd previously served as the head coach for the Boston College men’s water polo program from 1993-99 following a four-year career as a standout player for the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1987-1991.

While with the Minutemen, Ladd enjoyed an outstanding playing career and was part of a squad that was routinely among the Top 20 programs in the nation. He was named an All-New England Region Honorable Mention selection following his senior campaign.

In addition to graduating from UMass Amherst, Ladd also earned a Masters and Doctorate degree from Boston College. Ladd also completed post-doctoral work at the Alcohol Research Center at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and serves as an Associate Professor in Psychology at Rhode Island College.
