BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is accepting nominations for the 2018 Men’s Scholar-Athlete Team.
The Men’s Scholar-Athlete Team is open to all athletes (freshmen and up) that competed during the season.
To be selected, student-athletes must be active participants on the team and a full-time student at the institution which nominated them. Freshmen through graduate students are eligible for the award.
Nominees must achieve a 3.2 cumulative Grade Point Average or higher based on the most recent grades (spring semester for women).
Student-athletes were recognized in three levels: 3.2 to 3.4 (Excellent), 3.41 to 3.7 (Superior) and 3.71 to 4.0 (Outstanding).
In addition, varsity and club teams with cumulative GPA’s at or above 2.75 are recognized by the conference for overall excellence.
All nominations for the Scholar-Athlete Team are due by Friday, January 18 and can be submitted to the league office by email to haas@collegiatewaterpolo.org.
