WASHINGTON, D.C. — Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Director of Communications Ed Haas will serve as moderator of “Learning a New Sport”, a panel at the 2018 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) convention in Washington. D.C., on Saturday, June 30 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill, Md.

Featuring University of the Cumberlands Sports Information Director Tommy Chasanoff and Saint Mary’s University (Calif.) Assistant Director of Communications Mark Rivera, the session will focus on “best ways to know a sport you haven’t worked with before – rules for water polo, fencing, archery, lacrosse, etc. along with tips for training.”

Rivera is familiar to the CWPA as he garnered recognition as the 2011 Women’s Southern Division Sports Information Director of the Year while serving as the primary contact at Harvard University.
