BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Vani Hanamirian takes you around the CWPA for the biggest results and developing stories from the weekend of September 19–20.
This week:
- Villanova University defeats four-time defending Mid-Atlantic Division champion Pennsylvania State University “A,” 19–12. Host the University of Pittsburgh follows with a 16–11 win over the Nittany Lions in Pittsburgh, Pa.
- The University of Colorado “A” and University of Utah finish tied 11–11 at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colo., to start Rocky Mountain Division action and set-up a dramatic race to see who takes the No. 1 seed for the division championship at the end of the regular season.
- The University of Massachusetts and University of Connecticut finish 3–1 during the opening weekend of Colonial Division competition at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn
- Host Yale University, Dartmouth College and Boston University each finish 3–1 during a New England Division weekend in New Haven, Conn.
- The University of Virginia goes unbeaten in College Park, Md., at the University of Maryland to commence Atlantic Division competition.
