BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2018 Women’s Varsity Week 15/April 25 National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top 10 and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
The top teams in the nation remain unchanged as the University of Southern California (National Top 25), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (Division III Top 10) and Princeton University (CWPA Top 10) retain top-billing in their respective rankings.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), the Golden Coast Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Big West Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the CWPA based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2018 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 15)
The University of Southern California remains No. 1 in the the Week 15/April 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
The Trojans (100 points), who dislodged former No. 1/defending National Champion Stanford University last week courtesy an 8-5 victory over the Cardinal, lead a Top 25 which experiences few changes in the upper half of the rankings and cosmetic adjustments in the back half of the rankings.
Stanford (96 points), the University of California (92 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (88 points), the University of Hawaii (84 points), Arizona State University (80 points) and the University of the Pacific (76 points) remain at No. 2-to-7, respectively.
The University of California-Davis (69 points) and the University of California-Irvine (68 points) trade the No. 8 and 9 for a second week in a row, while Princeton University (61 points) and the University of Michigan (61 points) now stand in a dead-heat at No. 10.
The University of California-San Diego (55 points), Hartwick College (51 points), Indiana University (47 points) and Loyola Marymount University (43 points) retain the No. 12-to-15 spots, respectively, with Long Beach State University (42 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (38 points) trading the No. 16 and 17 berths.
Wagner College (33 points) remains locked in at No. 18, while California State University-Northridge (26 points) and San Jose State University (25 points) flip-flop at No. 19 and 20.
San Diego State University (22 points) and California Baptist University (10 points) stay at No. 21 and 22 with the trio of Harvard University (7 points), Marist College (7 points) and Fresno State University (7 points) rounding out the Top 25 in a three-way tie for the No. 23 slot.

2018 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 15)
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges remains the top team in Division III as the Sagehens again rank at No. 1 in the Week 15/April 25 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.
The Sagehens (100 points) lead a Division III Top 10 which experiences minor changes for the second week in a row.
California Lutheran University (95 points) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (90 points) stay at No. 2 and 3 behind Pomona-Pitzer, while Chapman University (82 points) and Whittier College (82 points) are now tied at No. 4.
The University of La Verne (74 points), the University of Redlands (70 points), Macalester College (64 points), Occidental College (50 points) and Connecticut College (37 points) conclude the Top 10 at No. 6-to-10 for another week.

2018 Women’s Varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 (Week 15)
Following a week in which none of the teams contested a varsity intercollegiate game, Princeton University remains at No. 1 in the Week 15/April 25 Women’s Varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10 Poll.
Princeton (100 points), which dislodged the University of Michigan two weeks ago to assume the top spot for the first time since the Week 15/April 29/Final CWPA Top 10 Poll of the 2015 season, enters the weekend’s CWPA Championship at Bucknell University aiming to retain its top-billing when the Week 16/May 2 Top 10 Poll comes out.
Michigan (94 points), Hartwick College (91 points), Indiana University (85 points), Bucknell (80 points), George Washington University (74 points), Brown University (71 points), Harvard University (65 points), Saint Francis University (59 points) and Macalester College (56 points) remain at No. 2-to-10, respectively, behind the Tigers.
