2018 Men’s Collegiate Club Florida Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Florida Division schedule.
Comprised of Florida Atlantic University, Florida State University, the University of Central Florida “A”, the University of Central Florida “B”, the University of Florida “A”, the University of Florida “B”, the University of Miami and an exhibition team from Florida Gulf Coast University, the Florida Division will contest its 15th season as part of the CWPA in 2019. In the history of the division, Florida (2002, 2003, 2008, 2011, 2017, 2018), Florida International University (2007, 2009), Miami (2010, 2012, 2013) and Florida State (2014, 2015, 2016) have combined to claim the previous 14 crowns.
A pair of 16-game regular season tournaments – along with uncontested forfeit wins by Florida “A” and UCF “A” over their institutional “B” team counterparts – will occur at Florida State’s Leach Recreation Center in Tallahassee, Fla. (Saturday-Sunday, September 14-15) and UCF’s Recreation & Wellness Center in Orlando, Fla., (Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6) to establish the seeds for the 12-game division championship hosted by Florida at the Student Rec Center in Gainesville, Fla., on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27.
The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, November 15-17.
