BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 7/October 31 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls for the 2019 season.

Defending National Collegiate Club Champion Lindenwood University maintains its position on top of the national rankings, while Washington University in St. Louis retains the No. 1 spot in the Division III poll.

Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for either the National Collegiate Club Championship or the Division III Collegiate Club Championship.

2019 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 7/October 31)

Lindenwood University remains the top team in the nation according to the Week 7/October 31 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 rankings for the 2019 season.

A four-time National Collegiate Club Champion (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018) and three-time Division III Club Champion (2006, 2007, 2008), the Missouri Valley Division Champion Lions (100 points) are the unanimous favorite to collect the program’s eighth National Championship crown.  Historically, Lindenwood has a chance to tie the all-time record of five Men’s National Collegiate Club Championships held by California Polytechnic State University (1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2007) if the Lions can stay at the head of the pride in 2019.

The University of California-San Diego (92 points) stays at No. 2, while Pacific Coast Division Champion the University of Southern California (88 points) goes from unranked to No. 3.  Sierra Pacific Division Champion the California State University Maritime Academy (85 points) rises five spots to assume the No. 4 position, while Rocky Mountain Division Champion the University of Utah (74 points), Cal Poly (72 points), the University of California (64 points), San Diego State University (63 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (55 points) and Florida Division Champion the University of Florida (53 points) readjust to rate at No. 4-to-10, respectively.

The University of California-Los Angeles (49 points) slides to No. 11 with Michigan State University (45 points) and Texas Division Champion the University of Texas (38 points) hanging on at No. 12 and 13.

California State University-Chico (36 points) moves to No. 14 with The Ohio State University (31 points) and the University of Michigan (31 points) tying at No. 15.

Texas A&M University (20 points), Boston College (15 points), Atlantic Division Champion the United States Naval Academy (14 points) and New York Division Champion the United States Military Academy (8 points) complete the Top 20.

The 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship will be decided at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, November 15-17.

2019 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 7/October 31)

Heading into the weekend’s Division III Club Championship hosted by Villanova University, six-time defending Division III Collegiate Club National Champion Washington University in St. Louis continues a potential march to title No. 7 by topping the Week 7/October 31 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Poll.

The 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Division III Collegiate Club Champion, Washington in St. Louis (97 points) holds a narrow one-point lead over new runner-up the University of California-Santa Cruz (96 points) and a five-point margin compared to former No. 2/Colonial Division Champion the United States Coast Guard Academy (92 points) for the No. 1 spot.

Heartland Division Champion Grinnell College (83 points) and New York University (78 points) hang on at No. 4 and 5, respectively, while Tufts University (74 points) and North Atlantic Division Champion Bates College (73 points) trade the No. 6 and 7 slots.

Carnegie Mellon University (63 points), Colby College (57 points) and Macalester College (36 points) complete the Top 10.
