2021 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2021 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division schedule.

Comprised of Baylor University, Louisiana State University, Rice University, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University “A”, Texas A&M University “B”, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, the University of Houston, the University of North Texas and the University of Texas, the division will compete in its 19th season as part of the CWPA with Texas A&M (2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2016), Texas (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019) and Texas Tech (2011) combining to capture all the previous titles. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 25-26, with 14 games at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, prior to Texas Tech University hosting 14 games in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday-Sunday, October 2-3.

The final regular season tournament occurs on Saturday-Sunday, October 23-24, as Rice University in Houston, Texas, serves as the site for the concluding 16 games.

The Texas Division “B” Championship – featuring the teams which placed seventh-to-11th during the regular season – along the “A” Championship – with the teams which placed first-to-sixth during the regular season – will occur if host sites become available.  If the championships can not occur, the regular season champion will be declared Texas Division Champion.

The Texas Division champion earns an automatic berth to the 2021 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted by the University of Alabama at the Huntsville Aquatic Center in Huntsville, Ala., on Friday-Sunday, November 12-14.
