2022 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2022 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division schedule.

Comprised of Baylor University, Louisiana State University, Rice University, Texas A&M University “A”, Texas A&M University “B”, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, the University of Houston, the University of North Texas, the University of Texas “A” and the University of Texas “B”, the division will compete in its 20th season as part of the CWPA with Texas A&M (2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2016), Texas (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021) and Texas Tech (2011) combining to capture all the previous titles. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regular season competition begins in College State, Texas, on Saturday-Sunday, September 24-25, as Texas A&M “A” and “B” host 14 games with Rice, Louisiana State, Baylor and Texas State.  Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, is the site of a 10-game event on Saturday-Sunday, October 1-2, with Texas Tech, Texas “A”, Texas “B” and North Texas, while a 20-game crossover weekend at Houston in Houston, Texas, is yet to be finalized.

If the Houston tournament does not occur, the teams will be seeded for the 17-game Texas Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 22-23, at Rice in Houston, Texas, based on the programs’ results from the Texas A&M and Texas Tech weekends.

The Texas Division champion earns an automatic berth to the 2022 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted at a site in the Northwest Division on Friday-Sunday, November 11-13.
