BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2023 Week 3/February 23 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls.
2023 Women’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 3/February 23)
Defending Women’s National Collegiate Club Champion the University of California regains sole control of the No. 1 spot in the 2023 Week 3/February 23 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll.
California (96 points) – which knocked off the University of California-Santa Barbara by an 8-3 score at the Huntsville Aquatics Center in Huntsville, Ala., to capture the 2022 National Championship – acquires a one point advantage over California Polytechnic State University (95 points) to stake sole claim to the lead position. Last week, California and Cal Poly were deadlocked at No. 1 with 96 points.
UC-Santa Barbara (93 points) and the University of California-San Diego (82 points) remain at No. 3 and 4, while the University of Michigan (66 points) climbs into the Top 10 by taking over at No. 5.
San Diego State University (62 points) and Texas A&M University (62 points) move up three and six spots, respectively, to tie at No. 6 with the University of California-Davis (53 points), the University of Washington (51 points) and Arizona State University (48 points) also breaking into the upper echelon of the rankings at No. 8-to-10.
The University of California-Los Angeles (42 points) and the University of Southern California (40 points) fall and rise to No. 11 and 12 with Pennsylvania State University (38 points) dropping back to No. 13 to rate as the highest ranked team from the East Coast.
Texas State University (32 points) and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech) (32 points) move from not ranked to tied at No. 14.
The University of Central Florida (28 points), the University of Florida (27 points), the University of Notre Dame (26 points), Boston University (20 points) and Florida State University (16 points) complete the Top 20.

2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III National Top 10 (Week 3/February 23)
2022 Women’s Division III Collegiate Club Champion the University of California-Santa Cruz and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology remain tied at No. 1 in the 2023 Week 3/February 23 Division III Top 10 poll.
UC-Santa Cruz (96 points) and MIT (96 points) are followed by Washington University in St. Louis (92 points), Middlebury College (86 points) and Tufts University (77 points) to complete the Top Five for the second time in as many weeks.
Grinnell College (72 points) and Saint Olaf College (72 points) stay tied at No. 6, while Carleton College (62 points) and Williams College (62 points) remain static at No. 8. The United States Coast Guard Academy (60 points) hangs on at No. 10.
