2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division schedule.
Comprised of the Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, the United States Air Force Academy, the University of Colorado, the University of Utah “A”, the University of Utah “B” and newcomer Utah Tech University, the division will contest its eighth season of competition.
In the history of the division, Utah (2011, 2015, 2016, 2017), Colorado (2018), Colorado Mines (2019) and Colorado State (2022) have combined for the seven previous titles. Utah (2002, 2004, 2006, 2010) and Colorado (1997, 2003) also hold prior Southwest Division Championships. A Rocky Mountain champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.
Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, February 11-12, at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., with 14 games prior to the regular season coming to a close on Saturday-Sunday, February 25-26, at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center in Kearns, Utah, with another 14-game event.
The regular season competition establishes the seeding for the Rocky Mountain Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 22-23, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton, Colo.
The victor of the Rocky Mountain Division Championship earns the group’s automatic berth to the 2023 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, at a site to be determined.
