2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division schedule.

Comprised of Arizona State University “A”, Arizona State University “B”, Grand Canyon University, San Diego State University “A”, San Diego State University “B”, the University of Arizona, the University of California-Irvine, the University of California-San Diego “A”, the University of California-San Diego “B” and the University of San Diego, the 10-team division will contest its 25th season in 2023.

In the history of the group, the University of Colorado (1997, 2003), Arizona (1998, 2000, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013), Northern Arizona University (1999), the University of Utah (2002, 2004, 2006, 2010), the United States Air Force Academy (2005), Arizona State (2011, 2012, 2014), San Diego State (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019) and UC-San Diego (2018, 2022) have combined for the prior 24 championships. A division champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.

The regular season begins on Saturday-Sunday, February 25-26, at Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz., with 20 games and concludes on Saturday-Sunday, April 15-16, with another 20-contest weekend at UC-San Diego in La Jolla, Calif.

Championship action occurs on Saturday-Sunday, April 22-23, as the 10 teams converge on San Diego State in San Diego, Calif., for the 15-game Southwest Division Championship.to decide the group’s automatic qualifier for the 2023 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, at a site to be determined.
