BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Week 1/September 19 Polls.
Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for either the National Collegiate Club Championship or the Division III Collegiate Club Championship.
2024 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 1/September 19)
Defending National Champion the University of California-San Diego remains at No. 1 in the nation as the 2024 Week 1/September 19 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 Poll is released by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
UC-San Diego (93 points) holds a narrow two point margin over both the University of Florida (91 points) and the University of California (91 points) as the Gators and Golden Bears share the No. 2 berth after rating at No. 2 and 3, respectively, in the preseason voting.
Michigan State University (89 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (86 points), California Polytechnic State University (79 points) and Washington University in St. Louis (64 points) remain at No. 4-to-7 with the University of Virginia (59 points) and San Diego State University (53 points) cracking the Top 10 at No. 8 and 9.
Dartmouth College (51 points) and the University of Michigan (48 points) slip to No. 10 and 11, while the University of California-Irvine (47 points), Pennsylvania State University (40 points) and the University of Colorado (34 points) rate at No. 12-to-14.
The United States Military Academy (26 points) and the United States Naval Academy (26 points) march and sail into a tie at No. 15.
The University of California-Santa Barbara (17 points), Arizona State University (14 points) and the University of Texas (30 points) take over at No. 17-to-19 with the University of Oregon (9 points) and the University of Washington (9 points) completing the Top 20 in a tie for the final position.

2024 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 1/September 19)
Washington University in St. Louis tops the 2024 Week 1/September 19 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Poll.
A seven-time Division III Collegiate Club National Champion, Washington (97 points) leads a Top 10 poll which experiences significant changes from the preseason voting.
The University of California-Santa Cruz (92 points), Macalester College (90 points) and Tufts University (87 points) break a tie at No. 2 to stand at No. 2-to-4, respectively, this week with Carnegie Mellon University (81 points), New York University (74 points), Augustana College (63 points) and Bowdoin College (61 points) retaining their prior billing at No. 5-to-8.
Middlebury College (42 points) and Wesleyan University (38 points) complete the rankings by breaking into the Top 10 after receiving votes in the Preseason Poll.
