BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Week 12/April 10 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top Five and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
The University of California-Los Angeles and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges continue at No. 1 in the National Top 25 and Division III Top 10 polls, respectively, while Augustana College and Princeton University retain top billing in the CWPA Division III and Division I Top Five voting.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), the Golden Coast Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Big West Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the CWPA based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesdays during the season.
2024 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 12/April 10)
The University of California-Los Angeles continues to rampage through the regular season as a unanimous No. 1 selection in the 2024 Week 12/April 10 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
UCLA (100 points) and the University of Hawaii (96 points) persist at No. 1 and 2, while Stanford University (91 points) rises above the University of Southern California (88 points) to take over at No. 3 and move the Trojans back to No. 4. The University of California (86 points), Loyola Marymount University (78 points) and Long Beach State University (73 points) continue at No. 5-7 with Fresno State University (72 points) breaking a tie with University of California-Irvine (71 points) at No. 8 last week to now stand at No. 8 and 9. Arizona State University (64 points) once again completes the Top 10.
The No. 11-to-25 positions experience radical changes this week starting at No. 11-to-15 as the University of California-San Diego (59 points) ascends one place to No. 11, Princeton University (52 points) improves three spots to No. 12, the University of Michigan (51 points) slides two positions to No. 13, the University of California-Davis (49 points) backs up one berth to No. 14 and Indiana University (48 points) follows suit to stand at No. 15.
The University of California-Santa Barbara (38 points) – which was tied with Princeton at No. 15 last week – takes over at No. 16 with San Jose State University (35 points) remaining steady at No. 17.
Wagner College (30 points), University of the Pacific (24 points) and Long Island University (22 points) each rise one position to assume the No. 18-to-20 slots, while Harvard University (17 points) and San Diego State University (17 points) rearrange to rate in a tie at No. 21.
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (9 points), California State University-Northridge (8 points) and Brown University (7 points) complete the Week 12 Top 25.

Pomona-Pitzer Colleges stays at No. 1 for another week in the 2024 Week 12/April 10 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.
Pomona-Pitzer (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), Chapman University (90 points) and the University of La Verne (84 points) remain at No. 1-to-4, respectively, with California Lutheran University (78 points) and Augustana College (78 points) return to being tied at No. 5.
Macalester College (69 points), the University of Redlands (63 points) and Austin College (61 points) retain their prior rankings at No. 7-to-9, respectively, with Whittier College (33 points) breaking into the Top 10 to assume the final position..

Defending league champion Princeton University continues at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 12/April 10 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Top Five Poll
The 2000, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2023 league champion Tigers (100 points), who held a one point lead over the University of Michigan by a 97-to-96 count last week, become a unanimous No. 1 pick in the Week 12 voting with 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion Michigan (95 points) receiving all of the No. 2 votes.
2022 and 2023 CWPA Championship runner-up Harvard University (87 points), Brown University (84 points) and Bucknell University (66 points) remain consistent at No. 3-to-5 to complete the Top Five.

2017, 2018 and 2019 CWPA Division III Champion Macalester College (95 points) moves within five points of the Vikings (100 points), while 2021 and 2022 champion Austin College (90 points) moves up one position to No. 3.
Carthage College (66 points) cracks the Top Five at No. 4 with Washington & Jefferson College (50 points) holding off 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 champion Connecticut College (49 points) to hang on at No. 5.
