2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division schedule.
Duke University, Georgetown University, James Madison University, North Carolina State University, the United States Naval Academy, the University of Maryland, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, the University of Virginia and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech) will contest the 25th season of Atlantic Division competition with the University of Richmond (2000), Georgetown (2001, 2002, 2005), Virginia (2003, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), North Carolina-Chapel Hill (2004, 2010, 2011, 2012), Virginia Tech (2006, 2007, 2009, 2017), Duke (2008, 2014, 2016), Maryland (2013, 2015) and Navy (2018, 2019) previously claiming titles. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 20-21, at Maryland in College Park, Md., with 18 games. Due to time limitations, games will use five-minute quarters with neither timeouts nor overtime utilized during the weekend.
The second regular season tournament is pending as James Madison in Harrisonburg, Va., is determining the institution’s ability to host an 18-game weekend. A determination regarding JMU’s ability to host and an available date are pending as of August 29.
The Atlantic Division Champion will be crowned following the 14-game championship tournament on Saturday-Sunday, November 1-2, at North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C. The victor of the division earns the group’s berth to the 2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 7-9, at a site to be determined.
