2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Sierra Pacific Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Sierra Pacific Division schedule.

California State Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime), California State University-Chico, California State University-Monterey Bay, Fresno State University, San Jose State University, Stanford University, the University of California, the University of California-Davis, the University of California-Santa Cruz and the University of San Francisco will compete in the division during the 2025 season.

The Sierra Pacific Division will contest its 14th season in the CWPA with UC-Santa Cruz (2011), California (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023) and Cal Maritime (2019, 2024) combining to claim all 14 previous championship titles.  The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All regular season competition during regular season is currently slated to occur at Cal Maritime in Vallejo, Calif., with a 20-game tournament on Saturday-Sunday, October 11-12, prior to another 20-game weekend on Saturday-Sunday, October 18-19.

The regular season schedule is tentative as the league seeks a third site, while the announced schedule – if a third site can not be found – is predicated on Cal Maritime being able to acquire the necessary pool time to host the pair of 20-game tournaments with modified rules of five-minute quarters with neither timeouts nor overtime.

The division championship will be decided on Saturday-Sunday, October 25-26, at UC-Santa Cruz as the teams meet for a 15-game slate.  Games on Saturday, October 25, will use six-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and teams allocated one timeout per half.  Contests on Sunday, October 26, will utilize seven-minute quarters with overtime and a full allotment of timeouts.

The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 7-9, at a site to be determined.
