BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Women’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division schedule.

Comprised of Georgetown University, James Madison University, the United States Naval Academy, the University of North Carolina, the University of Tennessee, the University of Virginia and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech), the division will contest its 10th season of competition in 2025.

In the history of the division, James Madison (2005), Duke University (2015), Virginia (2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023) and Virginia Tech (2018, 2024) have combined to capture the previous Atlantic Division crowns. An Atlantic Division champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.

Further, Virginia (2003) claimed the Mid-Atlantic Division title prior to the one-year formation of the Atlantic Division in 2005.  The group reformed in 2015 following the split of the Mid-Atlantic Division into the Mid-Atlantic and Atlantic Divisions.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, February 15-16, at James Madison in Harrisonburg, Va., with 14 games.  The regular season concludes on Saturday-Sunday, February 22-23, at Tennessee in Knoxville,Tenn., as the teams meet to contest another 14-game event to establish the final seeding for the 11-contest Atlantic Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, March 29-30, at Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.

The victor of the Atlantic Division Championship earns the group’s automatic berth to the 2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, April 11-13, at a site to be determined.
