2025 Women’s Collegiate Club Bay Area Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Women’s Collegiate Club Bay Area Division schedule.
Created in December 2024 from the Sierra Pacific Division, the Bay Area Division will be composed of Saint Mary’s College of California, San Jose State University, Stanford University, the University of California-Santa Cruz “A”, the University of California-Santa Cruz “B” and the University of San Francisco during the group’s inaugural campaign.
Among the teams, only UC-Santa Cruz holds a prior division title as the Banana Slugs claimed the 2010 and 2012 Sierra Pacific Division crowns.
Regular season competition will be contested in Santa Cruz, Calif., as UC-Santa Cruz hosts 12-game events on Saturday-Sunday, February 22-23 and March 8-9. The nine-game division championship is slated to occur on Saturday-Sunday, March 22-23, at San Jose State in San Jose, Calif. However, confirmation of SJSU’s ability to host remains in question as of Friday, January 17. In the event San Jose can not host, the championship schedule will move to the UC-Santa Cruz weekend on March 8-9 with seeding based on the games of February 22-23.
The victor of the Bay Area Division Championship earns the group’s automatic berth to the 2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, April 11-13, at a site to be determined.
