BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Week 10/March 26 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top Five and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.

Stanford University and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges remain at No. 1 in the National Top 25 and Division III Top 10 balloting, respectively, while the trio of Harvard University, Princeton University and the University of Michigan top the CWPA Top Five poll.  Austin College continues at No. 1 in the CWPA Division III Top 5 voting.

Voted on by a panel of coaches from around the country based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls will be compiled and released on Wednesday during the season starting the Wednesday following the first regular season contest.

2025 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 10)

Stanford University continues to rate as the the unanimous No. 1 pick in the land as the Cardinal lead the Week 10/March 26 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.

Stanford (100 points), the University of Southern California (96 points), the University of Hawaii (92 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (88 points), the University of California (84 points) and Long Beach State University (78 points) maintain the No. 1-to-6 positions, respectively, while the University of California-Irvine (72 points) and Arizona State University (72 points) ascend to tie at No. 7 after tying at No. 8 last week.

Fresno State (70 points) slips to No. 9 with Indiana University (62 points) retaining the No. 10 berth.

The University of California-San Diego (58 points), Loyola Marymount University (58 points) and Harvard University (58 points) rise and fall to rearrange into a three-way tie at No. 11. 

Princeton University (50 points), the University of Michigan (42 points), the University of California-Davis (41 points), Wagner College (37 points), San Jose State University (32 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (28 points), San Diego State University (24 points), Marist College (20 points), Brown University (14 points) and California State University-Northridge (11 points) stay at No. 14-to-23.

Long Island University (7 points) breaks into the Top 25 at No. 24 and University of the Pacific (5 points) completes the Week 10 rankings.

2025 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 10)

Pomona-Pitzer Colleges stays put at No. 1 in the Week 10/March 26 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.

Pomona-Pitzer (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), Chapman University (90 points), California Lutheran University (85 points) and Austin College (77 points) remain at No. 1-to-5, while Augustana College (73 points) and the University of La Verne (68 points) improve their standing to tie at No. 6.

Occidental College (65 points) takes over at No. 8 with Macalester College (60 points) and Washington & Jefferson College (46 points) assuming the No. 9 and 10 spots.

2025 Women’s Varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 5 (Week 10)

The No. 1 position in the Week 10/March 26 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Top Five Poll belongs to three teams as prior leader the University of Michigan is caught by both Harvard University and Princeton University for the top berth.

The 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion Michigan (95 points), 2000, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2023 and 2024 league champion Princeton (95 points) and Harvard (95 points) share top billing with Brown University (85 points) and Bucknell University (80 points) remaining status quo at No. 4 and 5.

2025 Women’s Varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Top 5 (Week 10)

2021 and 2022 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Champion Austin College maintains a five point margin compared to 2017, 2018 and 2019 CWPA Division III Champion Macalester College to remain the unanimous top-ranked program in the Week 10/March 26 CWPA Division III Top Five Poll.

Austin (100 points) and Macalester (95 points) stay at No. 1 and 2 with 2023 and 2024 CWPA Division III Champion Augustana College (88 points) slipping past Washington & Jefferson College (87 points) to take over at No. 3.

Penn State Behrend (80 points) rounds out the Top Five for the second time in as many weeks.
