BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Week 8/March 12 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top Five and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
Stanford University remains the undisputed queens in the National Top 25, while Pomona-Pitzer Colleges remains at No. 1 in the Division III Top 10 voting.
Harvard University stays at No. 1 in the CWPA Division I Top Five with Augustana College continuing to reign in the CWPA Division III Top Five.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from around the country based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls will be compiled and released on Wednesday during the season starting the Wednesday following the first regular season contest.
2025 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 8)
Stanford University remains the unanimous No. 1 pick in the Week 8/March 12 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
Stanford (100 points), the University of Southern California (96 points), the University of Hawaii (92 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (88 points) and the University of California (84 points) stay at No. 1-to-5, respectively, while Fresno State (78 points) gains company at No. 6 from previously No. 7 Long Beach State University (78 points).
Harvard University (68 points) and the University of California-Irvine (68 points) settle into a tie at No. 8 with Arizona State University (66 points) again completing the Top 10.
The University of California-San Diego (60 points) takes over at No. 11 with Princeton University (57 points) backing up to No. 12.
Loyola Marymount University (52 points), the University of California-Davis (50 points), Wagner College (41 points), the University of Michigan (40 points), Indiana University (38 points), San Jose State University (33 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (29 points) rearrange to rate at No. 13-to-19 with San Diego State University (16 points) and University of the Pacific (16 points) tying at No. 20.
Marist College (14 points), California State University-Northridge (13 points), California Baptist University (8 points) and Brown University (5 points) conclude the Week 8 Top 25.

Pomona-Pitzer Colleges stays at No. 1 in the Week 8/March 12 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.
Pomona-Pitzer (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), Chapman University (90 points), California Lutheran University (85 points) and Augustana College (80 points) retain their prior billing at No. 1-to-5.
Macalester College (72 points), the University of La Verne (69 points) and Occidental College (67 points) rise and fall to No. 6-to-8 with Washington & Jefferson College (49 points) breaking into the Top 10 at No. 9.
Austin College (45 points) remains at No. 10 to complete the rankings.

Harvard (100 points) leads at CWPA Top Five which again experiences no changes with 2000, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2023 and 2024 league champion Princeton University (95 points), 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion Michigan (90 points), Brown University (85 points) and Bucknell University (80 points) remaining stagnant at No. 2-to-5.
