BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Week 1/February 5 Polls.

2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 (Week 1)

The University of Michigan – which finished second to the University of California-Santa Barbara at the 2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship – remains at No. 1 in the country following a preseason top-ranking as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 1/February 5 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll for the 2026 season.

A two-time (2023, 2024) Women’s Collegiate Club National Champion, Michigan (93 points) maintains a one-point lead as California Polytechnic State University (92 points) rises from No. 4 to No. 2 this week with National Champion UC-Santa Barbara (88 points) and San Diego State University (86 points) sliding back to No. 3 and 4.

The University of California-San Diego (79 points) remains at No. 5, the University of California-Davis (68 points) against company at No. 6 from previously not ranked the University of Texas (68 points), while Northeastern University (58 points), Michigan State University (53 points) and the University of California (50 points) ascend to No. 8-to-10.

The University of California-Los Angeles (36 points) and the University of Washington (33 points) take over at No. 11 and 12 with the duo of  Florida State University (28 points) and the University of California-Santa Cruz (28 points) tying at No. 13.

Cornell University (24 points), Yale University (24 points), the University of Notre Dame (23 points),Texas A&M University (20 points), the University of Colorado (18 points) and Pennsylvania State University (15 points) complete the Top 20 following the first weekend of the 2026 women’s collegiate club season.

2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III Top 10 (Week 1)

Due to limited competition by Division III institutions during the opening weekend of the 2026 season, the University of California-Santa Cruz retain the No. 1 ranking in the Week 1/February 5 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III Top 10 Poll.

The rankings continue mirroring the final 2025 voting as unanimous top choice UC-Santa Cruz (100 points) is followed by Washington University in St. Louis (93 points), New York University (92 points), the United States Coast Guard Academy (83 points), Middlebury College (80 points), Carnegie Mellon University (77 points), Tufts University (70 points), Emory University (62 points), Bowdoin College (61 points) and Colby College (57 points).
