BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2026 Week 3/September 24 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls.
Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for the National Collegiate Club Championship.
2026 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 3)
2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Champion California Polytechnic State University continues at No. 1 in the 2026 Week 3/September 24 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 Poll.
The Mustangs (99 points) slip from rating as a unanimous top pick in leading a poll which experiences radical changes behind Cal Poly.
The University of California-San Diego (91 points) hangs on at No. 2 with the University of California (87 points), San Diego State University (80 points), Michigan State University (78 points), previously unranked Florida State University (73 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (58 points) moving up to No. 3-to-7, respectively. California State University-Chico (54 points) and the University of Southern California (53 points) slide back to No. 8 and 9 with the University of Colorado (48 points) coming in at No. 10.
Previously unranked Florida International University (45 points) and the University of Michigan (45 points) tie at No. 11, the University of Alabama (40 points) and Texas A&M University (40 points) tie at No. 13 and Villanova University (39 points) cracks the Top 20 at No. 15.
Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (34 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (27 points), the University of California-Davis (24 points), Dartmouth College (18 points) and Iowa State University (9 points) complete the Top 20.

2026 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 3)
Due to limited competition among Division III institutions occurring to date in 2026, the University of California-Santa Cruz – which tied with New York University at No. 1 in the final 2025 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Poll – retains sole custody of the top spot in the 2026 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Week 3/September 24 Poll.
The Banana Slugs (95 points), NYU (93 points), Middlebury College (90 points), Augustana College (88 points), the United States Coast Guard Academy (79 points), Carleton College (71 points), Bowdoin College (70 points), Washington University in St. Louis (51 points), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (47 points) and Tufts University (41 points) complete the Top 10 as the rankings remain consistent with the preseason, Week 1 and Week 2 voting.
