BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2026 Week 12/April 8 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top Five and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
The University of Southern California, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Augustana College and Harvard University stay at No. 1 in the Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Division III Top 5 and CWPA Top 5 polls, respectively.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from around the country based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during the season.
2026 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 12)
The University of Southern California is a unanimous No. 1 pick in the 2026 Week 12/April 8 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
The Trojans (100 points) – who garnered 99 points last week – are followed by Stanford University (96 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (92 points), the University of California (88 points), Arizona State University (83 points) and the University of Hawaii (81 points) as the first six positions of the Top 25 remain unchanged.
Long Beach State University (75 points) supplants Loyola Marymount University (72 points) at No. 7 with the University of California-Irvine (68 points) hanging on at No. 9.
Harvard University (60 points) moves up one position to No. 10 with the University of Michigan (58 points) following the Crimson in rising to No. 11. Indiana University (54 points) slips to No. 12 with the duo of Princeton University (52 points) and Fresno State University (52 points) – which were tied with Michigan at No. 12 last week – remaining deadlocked as the Bulldogs and Tigers share the No. 13 berth.
The University of California-Davis (48 points) retains an iron grasp on the No. 15 position with San Diego State University (40 points) and the University of California-San Diego (42 points) exchanging the No. 16 and 17 positions.
Marist University (32 points) and San Jose State University (28 points) hold on at No. 18 and 19 before California Baptist University (21 points) and University of the Pacific (20 points) trade-off the No. 20 and 21 berths to remain in front of No. 22 Wagner College (16 points).
California State University-Northridge (11 points), VIllanova University (9 points) and Brown University (7 points) rearrange to rate at No. 23-to-25 in completing the Week 12 balloting.

Pomona-Pitzer Colleges leads a 2026 Week 12/April 8 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll which experiences no changes from the Week 11/April 1 voting.
Pomona-Pitzer (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), California Lutheran University (90 points), Chapman University (84 points) and Augustana College (81 points) continue at No. 1-to-5 with Macalester College (74 points), Whittier College (71 points), Occidental College (64 points), Washington & Jefferson College (60 points) and the University of Redlands (23 points) sticking at No. 6-to-10.

Harvard University reacquires sole possession of the No. 1 position in the Week 12/April 8 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Women’s Varsity Top Five Poll.
The defending/2025 CWPA Champion Crimson (96 points) move one point in front of former equal/2000, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2023 and 2024 league champion Princeton University (95 points) and hold a two-point advantage over 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion the University of Michigan (94 points) entering this weekend’s CWPA Championship hosted by Michigan on Friday-Sunday, April 10-12.
Brown University (85 points) and Bucknell University (80 points) complete the Top Five.
