BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2026 Week 13/April 15 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top Five and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
Stanford University takes over at No. 1 in the National Top 25 after claiming the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) title, while Pomona-Pitzer Colleges continues at No. 1 in the Division III Top 10. Macalester College ascends to No. 1 in the CWPA Division III Top 5 with Harvard University concluding the regular season at No. 1 in the final CWPA Top 5 for 2026.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from around the country based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during the season.
2026 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 13)
Stanford University flips the script and takes over at No. 1 in the 2026 Week 13/April 15 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
The Cardinal (100 points) reigns as a unanimous No. 1 pick with previously top-billed the University of Southern California (95 points) slipping back to No. 2. The University of California-Los Angeles (93 points) and the University of California (88 points) stay at No. 3 and 4 with the remainder of the Top 10 rearranging so that the University of Hawaii (82 points), Loyola Marymount University (76 points), Arizona State University (74 points), Long Beach State University (71 points), Harvard University (66 points) and the University of California-Irvine (62 points) rate at No. 5-to-10, respectively.
Princeton University (57 points), Indiana University (55 points), Fresno State University (51 points), the University of California-Davis (46 points) and the University of Michigan (42 points) take over at No. 11-to-15.
The University of California-San Diego (39 points), Wagner College (35 points), San Diego State University (32 points), San Jose State University (31 points) and University of the Pacific (25 points) come in at No. 16-to-20 prior to Marist University (20 points), Concordia University (18 points), California State University-Northridge (11 points) and California Baptist University (11 points).
VIllanova University (6 points) and Brown University (6 points) conclude the Top 25 by tying for the final position.

2026 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 13)
Following the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship and the final weekend of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition, the 2026 Week 13/April 15 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll experiences significant adjustments compared to the Week 12/April 8 voting.
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), California Lutheran University (90 points) and Chapman University (85 points) hang on at No. 1-to-4 with CWPA Division III Champion Macalester College (76 points) and Whittier College (74 points) moving up to No. 5 and 6.
Carthage College (66 points) – which finished second at the CWPA Division III Championship to join Macaleter in punching their tickets to the USA Water Polo Division III Championship – moves from receiving votes to No. 7, while Augustana College (51 points) slips back to No. 8.
The University of Redlands (39 points) and Occidental College (38 points) complete the Top 10.

2026 Women’s Varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 5 (Week 13/Final)
Harvard University completes the year as the best team in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) for the second season in a row as the 2025 and 2026 CWPA Champion Crimson take the No. 1 position in the Week 13/April 15/Final CWPA Women’s Varsity Top Five Poll.
Harvard (100 points) – which knocked off 2000, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2023 and 2024 league champion Princeton University (95 points) by an 8-7 score in a quadruple sudden death overtime victory at the University of Michigan (90 points) on Sunday, April 12 – finishes the year as a unanimous top selection with the Tigers and 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion Wolverines remaining at No. 2 and 3.
Brown University (85 points) and Bucknell University (80 points) complete the final Top Five of the 2026 campaign.

2026 Women’s Varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Top 5 (Week 13)
2026 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Champion Macalester College improves one position to lead the Week 13/April 15 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Top Five poll.
The 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2026 CWPA Division III champion Scots (100 points) downed Carthage College (95 points) by a 14-9 score on Sunday, April 12, to win the league’s Division III crown in Norton, Mass., at Wheaton College. The Firebirds – which ranked at No. 4 last week – move up to No. 2 following their runner-up placement, while 2024 and 2025 CWPA Division III champion Augustana College (90 points) – which ranked at No. 1 last week – moves back to No. 3.
2021 and 2022 CWPA Division III Champion Austin College (84 points) moves up to No. 4 with previously unranked Grove City College (49 points) finishing out the Top 5.
