2024 Women’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases a change to the 2024 Women’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division Championship set for Saturday-Sunday, April 20-21, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass.

Due to a lack of available athletes for the weekend, Tufts University withdraws from the North Atlantic Division Championship weekend. However, Tufts will play during the final regular season weekend on Saturday-Sunday, April 6-7, at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

Since the potential of Tufts not having enough athletes was approved during the season-establishing conference call, there are no penalties for the institution. The seeding will be adjusted for the championship with teams seeded below Tufts moving up one place to fill the vacancy.  In addition, the championship format is revised to a seven-team event as  Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby, MIT, Middlebury College, the United States Coast Guard Academy and Yale University will compete for the division’s spot at the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, May 3-5, at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

In the history of the division, MIT (2005, 2006, 2007, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023), Boston College (2008, 2009), Middlebury (2010, 2011), Bowdoin (2012, 2014), Yale (2013, 2016), Boston University (2015) and Tufts (2018) have previously captured North Atlantic Division titles.  A division champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.
