2022 Men’s Collegiate Club Big Ten Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases a revised 2022 Men’s Collegiate Club Big Ten Division schedule.
Comprised of Indiana University, Michigan State University, Northwestern University, Purdue University, The Ohio State University, the University of Illinois, the University of Iowa, the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin, the Big Ten Division experiences multiple schedule changes during the course of the season.
The slate for the opening weekend of competition on Saturday-Sunday, October 1-2, at Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., adjusts with a formalized docket of 16-games. Due to time constraints, competition on Saturday, October 1, will utilize five-minute quarters with no overtime and no timeouts. Games on Sunday, October 2, will implement six-minute quarters with no overtime and no timeouts.
The 10-game docket at Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, on Saturday-Sunday, October 8-9, with Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern and Wisconsin remains unchanged.
The eight-game tournament at Ohio State on October 8-9 with Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue is canceled and moves to Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., on the weekend of Saturday-Sunday, October 22-23. The 10-game slate featuring an expanded field of Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio State, Northwestern and the host Wolverines concludes the regular season and establishes the seeding for the Big Ten Division Championship.
The division championship moves back a week to Saturday-Sunday, October 29-30, with the site changing from Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Wisconsin in Madison, Wisc. The championship remains a 14-game event with the victor earning an automatic berth to the 2022 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on the weekend of Friday-Sunday, November 11-13, at a site to be determined in the Northwest Division.
