2022 Men’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases a revised 2022 Men’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division schedule.

The original version of the schedule incorrectly listed the University of California-Irvine as competing in 2022.  Rather, Long Beach State University should be listed among the teams as the Pacific Coast Division will be comprised of California Polytechnic State University “A”, California Polytechnic State University “B”, Long Beach State, the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of California-Santa Barbara “A” and the University of California-Santa Barbara “B” and the University of Southern California (USC).

The Pacific Coast Division will contest its 24th season as part of the league with Cal Poly (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2018), California Baptist University (1999), UCLA (2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013), USC (2011, 2017, 2019), San Diego State University (2014), Long Beach State (2015, 2016) and the University of California-San Diego (2021) previously claiming titles. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, October 1-2, at UCLA in Los Angeles, Calif., as the Bruins host a 14-game tournament.  The regular season comes to a close two weeks later at USC in Los Angeles, Calif., as the Trojans host another 14-game tournament.

The 11-game Pacific Coast Division Championship is set for Saturday-Sunday, October 29-30, at the Morro Bay Aquatics Center in Morro Bay, Calif., and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The division champion earns a spot in the 2022 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be held on Friday-Sunday, November 11-13, at a site in the Northwest Division.
