2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Liberty Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases an updated 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Liberty Division schedule.

Formerly known as the Mid-Atlantic “B” Division prior to acquiring its current moniker in 2023, the grouping is currently constituted of Binghamton University, Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg, Drexel University, Lehigh University, the University of Delaware and West Chester University and will contest the 10th season of Mid-Atlantic “B”/Liberty Division competition in 2025.

The division championship has previously been claimed by Delaware (2015, 2016), Lehigh (2021), Saint Joseph’s University (2019) and West Chester (2017, 2018, 2022, 2023, 2024).  The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 13-14, at West Chester’s South Campus Pool in West Chester, Pa., with an expanded sequence of 10 games.  Previously scheduled to have nine games, the weekend now begins at 3:15 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, September 13.  Games on September 13 will use six-minute quarters with neither overtime nor timeouts. while contests on Sunday, September 14 will use regulation collegiate club rules (seven-minute quarters, overtime, timeouts, etc.). 

Villanova University in Villanova, Pa., will host a game matching Lehigh versus Drexel at 7:00 p.m. along with an exhibition contest pitting West Chester against the host Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, while Drexel in Philadelphia, Pa., will serve as the site for a now nine-game weekend on Saturday-Sunday, October 11-12.

Further schedule changes include the cancellation of the previously announced game matching host West Chester against Drexel on Tuesday, October 14.

West Chester will host Lehigh at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, at 8:00 p.m. before Lehigh visits Drexel in Philadelphia, Pa., on Tuesday, October 21, at 9:30 p.m.

More changes occur as West Chester will host Drexel at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, and Delaware in Newark, Del., hosts Drexel at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1.

The Liberty Division Championship is slated for Saturday-Sunday, November 8-9, at CU-Bloomsburg in Bloomsburg, Pa.  The division championship is the terminal event for the group as the division champion does not advance to the Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship which occurs on the same weekend at a site to be determined.
