2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases an updated 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division schedule.
Constituted of Boise State University, Gonzaga University, Oregon State University “A”, Oregon State University “B”, the University of Oregon, the University of Washington and Western Washington University, the division will contest its 27th season as part of the CWPA. In the history of the division, Washington (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2009, 2016, 2022), Oregon State (2003, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021) and Oregon (2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2023, 2024) have combined to win all 26 previous Northwest crowns. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The regular season and championship schedules both experience significant adjustments as of Monday, September 15.
Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, October 11-12, at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash., as the teams meet for 11 games. Due to limited hours, three games selected at random (University of Oregon-vs.-Oregon State University “B”, Oregon State University “A”-vs.-Boise State University, Gonzaga University-vs.-University of Washington) are eliminated from the regular season schedule. All games at Eastern Washington will use five-minute quarters with neither timeouts nor overtime.
The regular season concludes on Saturday-Sunday, October 18-19, at the Amazon Pool in Eugene, Ore., as Oregon hosts another 14-contests. Games on October 18,will use five-minute quarters with neither timeouts nor overtime, while contests on October 19, will use six-minute quarters with neither timeouts nor overtime.
Due to teams playing an unequal number of games, seeding for the Northwest Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 25-26, at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore., will be completed based on regular season winning percentage.
The championship schedule also experiences adjustments as games on October 25 with use six-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and no timeouts. Action on October 26 will utilize five-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and no timeouts.
The Northwest Division champion earns an automatic berth to the 2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated for Friday-Sunday, November 7-9, at a site to be determined.
