2026 Men’s Collegiate Club Great Lakes Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases an updated 2026 Men’s Collegiate Club Great Lakes Division schedule.

Grand Valley State University, the University of Notre Dame and Wayne State University are joined by newcomer Case Western Reserve University for the 26th season of Great Lakes Division action. 

In the history of the division, Iowa State University (1997), Western Illinois University (1998), Grand Valley State (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2016), the University of Illinois-Chicago (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015), The Ohio State University (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018), Notre Dame (2019, 2025) and Washington University in St. Louis (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) have all claimed at least one championship. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on the weekend of Saturday, September 26, with six games in Notre Dame, Indiana, at Notre Dame. The regular season concludes a week later at Rockford High School in Rockford, Mich., as Grand Valley State hosts six games on Saturday, October 24, with action now beginning at 8:30 a.m. Games on both September 26 and October 24 will use six-minute quarters with no overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.

The four-game Great Lakes Division Championship is slated for Sunday, October 25, at Rockford High School with the victor claiming the group’s automatic berth to the 2026 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 6-8, at a site to be determined.  Competition for the championship now starts at 9:10 a.m. with games using six-minute quarters, sudden death overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.

Collegiate Water Polo Association
