BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Defending National Champion the University of California-Davis retains the No. 1 ranking through the third week of the 2018 season as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 3/February 22 Women’s National Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll.
The Aggies (98 points) expand their lead over runner-up California Polytechnic State University (96 points) to two points following one-point margins in the Week 1 and 2 balloting.
Lindenwood University (81 points) and Pennsylvania State University (78 points) take over at No. 3 and 4, respectively, with the duo of the University of Washington (76 points) and the University of California-Los Angeles (76 points) moving into a tie at No. 5.
The University of Michigan (58 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (58 points) are tied at No. 7, with the duo of Texas A&M University (56 points) and Grand Valley State University (51 points) round out the Top 10 at No. 9 and 10.
Previously unranked the University of Oregon (50 points) breaks into the Top 20 at No. 11, while the University of California (47 points) and Michigan State University (44 points) settle at No. 12 and 13.
The University of Colorado (35 points) and the University of Central Florida (35 points) tie at No. 14, with the University of Virginia (27 points), the University of Texas (25 points), previously unranked California State University-Chico (23 points), Dartmouth College (11 points) and the University of Southern California (6 points) completing the Top 20.
